AIS ZOOM MEETING 14 JULY: FAREWELL REMARKS BY AMBASSADOR DR. RIZAL SUKMA

Posted on July 13, 2020September 14, 2020 By Ati Kisjanto No Comments on AIS ZOOM MEETING 14 JULY: FAREWELL REMARKS BY AMBASSADOR DR. RIZAL SUKMA
Dear Members,
You will have seen from the newsletter that we already have a great event lined up on 14 July at 12.45 for 13.00, celebrating Indonesian cuisine, with not one but three renowned chefs sharing their secrets!
I am now both delighted and saddened to say that we will be joined at the start of the event by our Patron,  HE Dr Rizal Sukma, Ambassador of Indonesia.  Delighted because it is always a pleasure to have him with us; but saddened because this occasion will be his farewell remarks to the AIS, since he and Ibu Hana will be leaving at the end of the month. Under normal circumstances we would have wanted to have a big party to thank them both for their wonderful support for the AIS during their time in London. Sadly that is not possible. Nonetheless I hope that as many of you as possible will join us via Zoom (the link is in the newsletter but also below) to show them our gratitude and good wishes. Please note that Ambassador Sukma will speak for a few minutes at the start of the event, so please be sure to join the Zoom call promptly.
I look forward to seeing you, albeit virtually, on 14 July,
Best wishes,
Martin Hatfull
Chairman, Anglo-Indonesian Society
