The AIS Book Club continues to go from strength to strength. Details of the next book and meeting are as follows:

Aquarini Priyatna, popularly known as “Mbak Atwin”, is a professor in literature and gender studies. Her extensive research portfolio spans women’s studies, gender research, feminist theory and practice, auto/biography, media and celebrity studies, and feminist cultural studies.

Mbak Atwin has a diverse academic background. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Universitas Padjadjaran. She subsequently obtained an M.Hum. in Gender Studies from Universitas Indonesia, followed by an M.A. in Feminist Cultural Theory and Practice from Lancaster University in the UK. In 2011, she completed her Ph.D. in Gender Studies at Monash University in Australia.

​A prolific writer, her published works include:
​Perempuan dalam Tiga Novel karya NH Dini (2014)
​Staging a Life: New Forms of Celebrity Auto/Biography and Femininity (2019)
