A-IS Events and CORONAVIRUS VID-19

Posted on March 17, 2020May 10, 2022 By Ati Kisjanto No Comments on A-IS Events and CORONAVIRUS VID-19
Due to the lockdown restriction, the Society had to postpone its April event. Dr. Maria Wronska-Friend was supposed to give a talk on Javanese batik as inspiration to European art in the late 19th and early 20th century. This event is now scheduled for next year, 18 May 2021.

The Society is organising a new online event on Friday, 8 May 2020 via Zoom. Chef Petty Elliott will host Enjoying the Taste of Jamu and demonstrate how to make kunyit asam and wedang uwuh. See more information about the event in the section below.

Tuesday, 6 June 2020 Ian Rowland, an advisor to the Central Java provincial government 2013 – 2019, is going to give a talk on environmental management in Central Java Province. This event will be organised via Zoom assuming lockdown restrictions still apply.

We would encourage our members to participate in a short A-IS survey. To participate, click here. Your participation would be greatly appreciated.
