It wasa full house at The Anglo Indonesian Society Dinner at Bali Bali Restaurant with a delightful 3-course dinner

 

Menu of the evening:
Starter
Soto Ayam, chicken soup, rice noodles

  

Main Course
Nasi Uduk coconut rice and plain steamed rice
Beef Rendang, Beef curry in caramelized coconut cream with spices and herbs
Sate Ayam, Chicken Sate
Udang Balado, Prawns with shallots and chilies
Ayam Kari, Chicken curry
Sayur lodeh, Mixed vegetables in light coconut curry
Gado-gado, Mixed salad with peanut sauce
Sambal

     

Dessert
Kue Dadar Gulung, pandan pancakes grated coconut flling & palm sugar
Klepon, Indonesian pandan mochi with palm sugar
Kue Lapis, layer cake

The wonderful surprise was Petty Elliott’s Award Winning Jakarta Bites Recipe Book as the raffle prize of the evening. The three lucky winners happened to be Indonesian food enthusiasts!
