The Strange Tale of the Missing Father of Khong Guan

Posted on June 29, 2021June 29, 2021 By Ati Kisjanto No Comments on The Strange Tale of the Missing Father of Khong Guan

Helen of Ladybird Fly Away Home, recently wrote a blog post which addresses the question of why the father is missing from the Khong Guan biscuit tin picture. She wrote about her contact with an Indonesian woman who asked her to identify this picture, which is almost identical to one used in a Ladybird Book. The Indonesian woman informed her that in Indonesia, there is a brand of biscuits familiar to most Indonesians that features a very Ladybird-like scene: Mother, two children and afternoon tea. The absence of a father in the tea-time scene has caused many years of speculation across the whole country. In her article, Helen answered the riddle that has challenged the country. Want to know the answer? Read her article here.
