Indonesia’s media landscape: A discussion with Endah Saptorini and Sofie Syarif.

We will discuss changes in Indonesia’s media scene over the years they’ve been working as journalists, the challenges faced by traditional media in Indonesia in the age of social media and AI, and what the future holds for the media in Indonesia.

Endah and Sofie are two highly experienced Indonesian journalists. Sofie (above) is completing her PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London, in the counter-hegemonic alternative news media in Indonesia.

Endah (above) currently teaches at the Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton
