Dear Anglo-Indonesian Society Members,
In the light of the latest UK government guidance, and t he Indonesian Embassy’s announcement that “public classes, gatherings, events & other activities at the Embassy are temporarily suspended”,  we have decided to suspend our events for the time being.  Maria Wronska-Friend’s  talk on 21 April will not now take place, though we hope to reinstate it at a later date. There is no meeting planned for May because of Ramadan.
Our next scheduled event is on 9 June. We will keep that under review, taking account of government advice and the Embassy’s policies, and take a decision on that a bit nearer the time – though I have to say that as things stand I am not optimistic about being able to go ahead.
I am sure you will understand why we have taken this decision. The priority is everyone’s health and welfare, and I hope all our members, their families and friends stay healthy and positive at this challenging time.
We will be in touch again when we can provide an  update.
With best wishes,
Martin Hatfull
The Anglo-Indonesian Society
