MEMBERSHIP

The Anglo-Indonesian Society has over 300 Corporate and Individual Members. The Society encourages newcomers who have an active interest in Indonesia and who support the aims of the Society to become Members. The election of Members is at the discretion of the Council. Members must be aged 18 years or older.

If you are interested in becoming a Member, please email the Membership secretary (aismemb.cr@gmail.com) , explaining the reasons for your interest.

Alternatively, if you already know a Member of the Society, you can ask them to sponsor a membership application from you. They can arrange for our Membership Secretary to send you a Membership Application Form by email.

Current membership subscription rates are:

  • Corporate Membership subscription is £50 per annum
  • Individual Membership subscription is £10 per annum
  • Membership for Full-time Students is free of charge

Membership entitles you to attend the Society’s monthly lectures free of charge. You may also on occasion bring a limited number of guests. You will receive by email the Society’s monthly newsletter giving details of the Society’s forthcoming programme of events, details of upcoming Indonesian-related events in Britain and news of the Society.

The Council particularly welcomes Members taking part in its working groups to develop and expand the Society’s activities. Such involvement provides an opportunity for Members to contribute to UK-Indonesian relations while at the same time making new friends and developing their organisational skills.
