This is not on the usual day/date for AIS meetings – the second Tuesday of the month – because it is being held in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy to mark National Batik Day. This is 2nd October, the anniversary of when UNESCO, the UN cultural agency, recognised batik as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2009. Because it is not an exclusive AIS event there is no way for people to follow it remotely.
Full details are in the flyer
There is no need to book tickets – just show up!
The museum is very close to Hoxton Overground station
