Message from the Chairman, Moazzam Malik

Dear AIS members,

As trailed in previous newsletters, our AGM will take place on Tuesday 12 November, starting promptly at 6.15pm. It will run for 30min or so before we move into our evening event. Please join us if you can, in person or online.

It has been another full year for the AIS with a range of evening discussions, corporate events and book club discussions. The annual picnic, as always, was a highlight.  Details are in the Annual Report.

The Council is also planning a full calendar of events for the year ahead, including a new year dinner in January. But we need your help. If you have suggestions for future speakers or events, please get in touch with Petty Elliott or me .

We also need additional members to join the Council. If you can spare a little time, please volunteer. I can promise you a friendly and supportive group all committed to exploring and promoting Indonesia in the UK. Please drop me or Jeff Malaihollo a line.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Moazzam
