Gunung Nusantara: 100 Accessible Mountain and Volcano Treks Accross the Indonesian Archipelago

Posted on November 28, 2021September 27, 2022 By Ati Kisjanto No Comments on Gunung Nusantara: 100 Accessible Mountain and Volcano Treks Accross the Indonesian Archipelago

Back in January, Daniel Quinn gave a talk on the mountains and volcanoes of Java, drawing on his large photographic archives from literally hundreds of weekend trips. The talk featured both the famous and the obscure on a tour from west to east.

If you missed the event, click here to see the recording of the event.

Dan Quinn, A-IS member based in Jakarta, has written a book/guide about climbing 100 mountains in Indonesia.  A kindle version of his book can be purchased here.

Dan has created a wall map/poster of all the major mountains and volcanoes across the archipelago (including Malaysia and Timor Leste). It lists nearly 400 different peaks! The list is available as a free download. Click here to see the list.

If you want to know more about the mountains and volcanoes across the archipelago, visit his website here.
