As a result of Brexit, it is vital that the UK successfully promotes and strengthens its links with ASEAN. The region is forecast to be the world’s fourth largest economy by 2030 after the USA, China and the EU. These links are all encompassing and flow in both directions, including trade and investment, education, tourism, and cultural ties. It is therefore critical that there is a united voice to get the message over that the UK is Open and Welcoming to Business, Investors, Students, and Tourists from ASEAN and committed to supporting outward investment and UK business expansion into the region.

Please join us for our 5th Joint ASEAN Societies Reception to celebrate UK ASEAN links and future ties and for members of the organisations to network and build closer alliances. The ASEAN Societies and other guest groups taking part this year include:
The Anglo-Thai Society
The Anglo-Indonesian Society
The British Malaysian Society
Singapore Business Group
Singapore UK Association
Cambodia Society in the United Kingdom
Britain-Burma Society
Vietnam UK Network
Philippine British Business Council
AUBF ( ASEAN UK Business Forum )
UK-ASEAN Business Council
The Reception will also welcome distinguished guests including Ambassadors and Senior representatives from the ASEAN Embassies and High Commissions.
We are delighted that His Excellency the Ambassador of Cambodia, Mr Kan Pharidh and His Excellency the Ambassador of Indonesia, Dr Desra Percaya as well as the Rt Hon Lord Vaisey of Didcot PC, Chairman of UKASEAN Business Council ( UKABC ) have all agreed to deliver keynote speeches at the event.

The Reception is warmly sponsored by
