The Anglo-Indonesian Society’s forthcoming events are notified in advance to its Members in the Society’s monthly newsletter. Attendance is a benefit of membership. Entry is restricted to Members, their guests and other invitees.
The monthly lecture evenings cover a wide range of Indonesia-related topics. Those speaking have included authors, academics, environmentalists, diplomats, journalists, charity workers, travellers, food writers and other experts with first hand knowledge of Indonesia.
In addition, the Society holds social events such as receptions, dinners at Indonesian restaurants and food tasting evenings. It also organise group visits to British museums and other institutions that have Indonesian collections and holds joint cultural and educational events with other organisations.
The programme of the Society’s events since 2011 gives a good illustration of its activities. See Past Events for details
